嘉绍大桥是继杭州湾跨海大桥后，又一座横跨杭州湾的大桥，加上钱江隧道，钱江喇叭口呈现出“一湾三桥”的格局，终端均北指上海。按照国家批复的方案，整个嘉绍跨江大桥和接线高速公路（嘉绍跨江工程）总造价为139亿元，大桥部分投资达63.5亿。其中夜景亮化项目由阳光照明从设计到产品到施工一并完成。
